Scarcity in the COVID-19 Pandemic
Bioethical and Human Rights Analysis
The COVID-19 pandemic has placed extraordinary pressure on resources for frontline care services, and presents policy makers with difficult dilemma about fair allocation. Director of the Autonomy Project, Wayne Martin is supporting the Essex Human Rights Centre and the Ethics of Powerlessness project, in considering the ethical and human rights issues raised by scarcity during the pandemic.
Wayne will be delivering an introduction to the ethics of triage for the School of Philosophy and Art History at Essex. See https://www.essex.ac.uk/events/2020/04/29/the-ethics-of-triage for more details.
